Not All Detox Is Physical

We talk a good bit about detox on this blog. After all, we live in a world where even the most careful and conscientious among us are exposed to countless toxins every day through the food we eat, water we drink, and air we breathe.

Supporting your body’s self-cleaning mechanisms on an ongoing basis – through both healthy habits and supervised detox/cleansing programs as needed – is crucial for maintaining your overall health and wellness.

But not all detox is physical. “Emotional detox” can pay dividends, as well.

It’s really a kind of self-care. And it’s perhaps more important than ever as we near the one-year anniversary of life under lockdown and all of the unique stresses it’s brought us. Self-care is just as crucial to your mental as, say, maintaining our emotional connections with others while remaining physically distanced.
