Lyme Disease and Co-Infections Treatment

Treating Lyme and tickborne disease requires a very comprehensive approach to each person’s specific situation, ideally performed by a doctor who specializes in Lyme Disease treatment.

The term “Lyme disease” really means that we are often dealing with many interwoven and overlapping medical problems and symptoms. Some patients have recent tick bites, or are showing symptoms of early Lyme disease and can be rapidly and very effectively cured with treatment. Others have more significant illness, with symptoms such as:

  • persistent joint pains and swelling;
  • difficulties with memory, focus, concentration and word finding;
  • sensitivities to light and sound;
  • unexplainable shortness of breath or sweating; shooting pains or the sensation of something crawling inside the skin;
  • fevers or flare ups in symptoms which may occur at certain times each day or weekly or monthly.

Others may be suffering with:

  • hearing or visual problems;
  • sleep disruption;
  • mood problems such as anxiety, depression or mood swings;
  • muscle pains which can be severe.

Many patients have been unable to receive comprehensive and complete treatment for their many symptoms within the conventional medical community. In order to help those suffering with these very difficult symptoms, I take advantage of my expertise in conventional and alternative approaches – Integrative Medicine – which is the type of medicine I practice. This has proven to be invaluable in helping people with this often complex and profound illness.

I am a Medical Doctor, a graduate of George Washington University School of Medicine and have been caring for patients with Lyme and tickborne diseases for over 12 years. I am an Active member of the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS), The American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM), The American Academy of Medical Acupuncture and am board certified in Emergency Medicine. I am also a graduate of the Hahnemann College of Homeopathy.

Most importantly, I combine both conventional and alternative treatments to help my patients heal these problems.

I combine both conventional
and alternative treatments

I have extensive experience treating patients with homoeopathy, nutritional, Bio-identical hormone replacement and herbal therapies. I can also use Acupuncture and where appropriate, Intravenous vitamin, mineral, Glutathione and other IV therapies, as well as standard conventional medications and antibiotics.

Patients often struggle with symptoms because they have a multitude of complicating factors besides their infection.

They may have other bacterial, parasitic and viral organisms which were also transmitted with the tick bite. Imbalances in the immune system are very common, as are hormonal, thyroid and adrenal depletion, severe energy compromise, environmental poisons such as Mycotoxins, or heavy metals in the body such as mercury, arsenic, cadmium or lead.

Oftentimes intestinal problems such as bloating, pain and food sensitivities make it difficult to eat nutritious foods. The essential combination of conventional and alternative therapies coupled with individualized testing and treatment has allowed me to help many patients regain their health.

If you are suffering with a tickborne Illness or may have been infected, please do not give up hope of recovery!

Please think about what you have read above, and know that there are many different approaches that can help you once again regain your Vitality and your Health!
